The Family Resource Center at Families First supports families with Home Visiting programs, Playgroups, Support Groups, Individual Parent Coaching and Parenting classes both virtually and in-person. This includes programs for parents, grandparents, and kinship caregivers, and children ages 0-5.
The Family Resource Center at Families First has a variety of programs to support parents and strengthen families. They build collaborative, respectful relationships as they work with parents to identify their strengths and goals, connect to community resources, learn about child development and positive parenting strategies, and connect with one another. They believe that parenting is hard work, and we strive to provide a supportive, caring community to help all families thrive.
Most programs are free of charge and we offer free childcare.
They offer playgroups, support groups and parenting programs at both of our health centers (Families First in Portsmouth and Goodwin in Somersworth) and They have off site playgroups in Epping and Exeter. They also partner with other agencies to offer family support programs in various community settings.
