The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester

The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester MHCGM is in business to empower individuals to achieve recovery and personal wellness through an accessible comprehensive, integrated and evidenced based system of mental health care. MHCGM serves area includes Auburn, Bedford, Candia, Goffstown, Hooksett, Londonderry, Manchester & New Boston. MHCGM works in partnership with Amoskeag Health, Catholic Medical Center, Easterseals, Elliot Hospital and the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth.

The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester is a private nonprofit system of comprehensive mental health services that for 60 years has been available to individuals and families who experience problems with mental illness, often with co-occurring substance use disorders. MHCGM has over 400 employees operating 30 programs. We are the largest provider of outpatient behavioral health services in New Hampshire.

Designated as the community mental health center for region seven by the NH Bureau of Mental Health Services, MHCGM provides a broad range of services to nearly 5000 people who have serious mental illness. In addition to treating a total of 11,400 individuals last year of which 2900 were under 18 years of age, MHC GM is finding the solutions for tomorrow through our psychiatric research department, which has been conducting psychiatric research since 1988.

MHCGM partners with the Manchester Police Department in providing mobile crisis behavioral health services. Additionally, MHCGM operates the Cypress Center a 16 bed acute psychiatric residential/designated receiving facility.
